Highland Dr., Las Vegas When - Sunday, December 11, 2011 - 9:00am to 6:00pm Registration Deadline - December 7, 2011 An additional $10 fee will be charged for any registrations received after 12/7/11 Sanctioned by - The Federal Association of Sandpaper Table Tennis (FASTT) FASTT website – www.TTProTour.com Equipment - All players must use an all wood racquet with sandpaper covering Sandpaper rackets will be available for purchase on site for $5 40mm white balls will be used Scoring - Games to 21 points, best 2 of 3 - Finals best 3 of 5 Pre-match warm ups - limited to 2 minutes FASTT Membership - All players entering this tournament will receive a free temporary membership to the FASTT; other FASTT memberships are available from Jerry Ladd Tournament Director - Jerry Ladd (jerryladd@centurylink.net) phone - (702) 449-3015 Divisions/Events - There will be two separate events - the Amateur Division & the Professional Division. Typical Questions: Why Sandpaper? Sandpaper is an alternative to traditional Table Tennis with less expensive paddles and longer rallies. How do the Pro rankings work? Pro rankings are done purely from tournament dollars won within the last 12 months. This encourages players to continue to play in Pro tournaments. It also encourages tournament directors to increase prize money. Players never hurt their rankings by playing. How do the Amateur rankings work? Players are awarded ranking points in every tournament as follows - 1st place = 5 points, 2nd place = 4 points, 3rd place = 3 points, 4th place = 2 points and 5th place to 8th place = 1 point. Players ranking points in the last 12 months are used to determine their county, state and national ranking. Players never hurt their ranking by playing. What division should I play in? You may play in either the Pros or the Amateurs in a single tournament. The choice is yours. Playing level is not a factor. You may switch from Amateurs to Pros and vice versa from tournament to tournament but you may not play in both divisions in a single tournament.
